Legal Practitioner with vast experience in the private and public sector spanning a period of 42 years. An active volunteer, a seasoned legal researcher, and an excellent communicator. A member of both the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association. An Accredited Mediator and Member of the Panel of Neutrals of the Lagos Multi-door Courthouse. She has worked as an In-house Counsel for a multinational company based in 141 countries worldwide and is presently in private legal practice as the Founding Partner of The Metropole Practice (a boutique law firm) , where she has advised numerous multinationals, domestic corporates, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) on a wide array of legal issues in Nigeria. She is a Family Court Assessor attached to the Family Courts of Lagos State and is a strong proponent and implementer of the Child’s Rights Law. She serves on several Boards and Committees, including the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) where she is a Trustee and the Chairperson of the Marketing and Fundraising Committee, the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos (CCA LAGOS), COBIS-certified Banana Island School, Lagos and the Legal Committee of the National Council on Privatization, Nigeria. She is a lover of music and the arts, also involving herself in many community projects, both secular (The Marketplace Fairzone Services – a virtual goods and services platform, and Women Protection Organisation (WOPO) in Lagos, Nigeria – helping victims of domestic and child abuse), and non-secular (Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos – serving in various capacities).
She holds two LL.M qualifications; University of Lagos where her specialism was Comparative Company Law (1983) and the second as a British Chevening Scholar from Queen Mary, University of London where her specialism was International Business Law (2001) with a bias for Information Technology Law.
